Elxis Nautilus is coming!

Elxis installer tries to redirect you on the elxis web root folder in order to start the installation process.
If you have Elxis inside a folder and the parent folder has an other site you might confuse Elxis. You must know what you are doing in this case.

I suggest you to install Elxis in localhost or create virtual hosts.
The Elxis Team recomendations in to create vhosts like that site1.loc, site2.loc, etc...

ok this is solved

but now i have problem with links
seems not put in tle link "index.php" when i press on continue

this is the link appear on the navigation bar

@speck Is index.php a default index on IIS?
Normally it is index.html,index.html,default.html and something like that. The index.php might be missing. If this is the case add index.php in  the default indexes and restart IIS.

When i click at any link at the website, althought the url changes, the visible website is the same. This happend also at the administration area, even if i click at a link, i always see the first page i see when i login

Im still not able to fix this issue. I install the elxis at root, i am sure the .htaccess is there, but still cant chance page. See it live here www.daskalemata.com

I tried again. I created a new vhost called elxis.loc

I was able to go through installation and it was successful, however going to elxis.loc, I get a blank page.
Do you think it's a php5.4 issue?

did it, but now there's another problem.
when arrive to step 3 (the form where insert the data of db, password etc etc etc) and I press submit button the result is a blank page with 405 http error   
i never had this error with old elxis versions 

i gave a look also to error log file in repositary folder/logs but is empty

If anyone has problems with Elxis 4.0 he can send me a personal message with FTP access details for his online site to see what's happening and fix it.
Elxis 4.x is tested and works fine but some features rely on server environment and so there are might issues that we haven't seen before.
That's why this release has been marked as beta.
Providing us access to your installation with the issue will help us solve these issues, not only for you but for the other people too.

I debug a site having such problems and found the reason.
It is due to a php bug on getting $_SERVER values with filter_input.

I applied a bypass for this problem in Elxis and I will release revision 1293.
To fix the problem in your installation.

(1) If links do not work:
Open file: includes/libraries/elxis/uri.class.php
Go to line 102
Change this:
$uri = ltrim(filter_input(INPUT_SERVER, 'REQUEST_URI', FILTER_SANITIZE_URL), '/');
with this:
$uri = ltrim($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'], '/');

Don't do this change if it works for you because the first method is much safer.

(2) If inner.php does not work
Open .htaccess and comment the first instances of the following lines:

#RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
#RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d

Leave only these:
RewriteRule ^estia/inner.php(.*) estia/inner.php [L]
RewriteRule ^estia/(.*) estia/index.php [L]

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*) index.php

Here is a small tip on how we can find out if our inner.php file is working properly! Check the following urls ...
Administration area:
http://www.example.com/estia/inner.php/user/
Front-end area:
http://www.example.com/inner.php/user/

In case that you see a blank or 404 error page then your inner.php don't work! Check the instructions as Datahell mentioned above : https://forum.elxis.org/index.php?topic=7032.msg46547#msg46547

Possible trouble for some users:

Administration -> Settings -> Security:

SSL switch, active ONLY when they have install SSL certificate.

In my opinion, must be an extra check box to validate if they have SSL or NOT, because if you set yes with forntend + Administration and you have install SSL you will kicked out.
