Internet explorer 9 sucks!

I had a report saying that the calendar script used in IOS Reservations does not work under IE9 (it worked for IE8...).
So I decided to update IE8 to IE9 to check it. Here is how "great" is microsoft's support and browsers:

1. I realized that an update is not possible, I had to reinstall the browser...
2. I downloaded the 64bit Greek version of IE9 for Vista. I tried to install it but it warned me that my system is in English and I need to have the windows ultimate version to install the IE9 greek version. So, I had to use IE9 English...
3. I downloaded the english version and tried to install it but also warned me that I need to update my the windows first...
4. I download the updates now (360mb!), when finish I will continue....

1st serious complaint to Microsoft: The browser should not be bind to the operating system (I think you have be warned by the E.U. for this).
2nd serious complaint to Microsoft: The user should be able to install his desired language for the browser without OS limitations.

After installing 360mb of garbage and restarting my computer I tried to re-install IE9. Now I have an other error message saying that IE9 installer does not support the service pack I have(sp1) and I need to install vista service pack 2.

This is it, I got tired!
I am not going to install IE9. Maybe an other time when I will have some hours to lose I might do it. But not now. I am sorry microsoft but I will continue being a firefox lover for many more years! Bye bye IE9, I will try again when you release IE 19

  . I personally can update your system , John to windows 7.  Vista like sVista ,sXista ... i am sorry but it's not an operating system.
My suggestion : Try to install IETester. I love that program!

It is not a matter of my OS. It is something more deep than this. IE is bind to the OS, this is the real problem.

I just updated firefox 3.x to 4.0. I clicked update from firefox menu and it took me just 3 minutes to download the new version and install it. It also automatically updated all of my extensions and re-opened with all the tabs I had previously open. This is a user friendly browser!

i am proud to  announcement that for the last year i am a linux user...
yes ONLy LINUX  ...since last year... i do not care for any junk systems and browsers   ... for reasons such as datahell described and much more!!!

MS thinks that their browsers must be integrated with the OS ...they think that this way they will jail people??
good luck to them... they dig their grave! they didn't learn their lesson... come back ms-people next year ..  maybe with a ie10?

Newly  few days ago I installed IE 8  as I had it year ago and cursor jumped  down when posting exactly on my forum like this one is, SMF 1.1.13.
So I decide to download it once again and when posting with quote  cursor still jumping down and it is not possible to post. 
It looks I am far away to upgrade to IE 9, rather switch to Linux or use Mozilla only.

I made the mistake to update to my laptop from IE8 to IE9 mostly from curiosity to see what new exists.

And i was looking the site http://booking.isopensource2.com where is used template philoxenia which uses javascript roundies.

The result is tragic concerning roundies which IE9 does not recognize at all and see them as simple rectangles and i wonder how is possible that people there to Microsoft they published a newer version which it was supposed to fix bugs of previous versions and the result is that they just went a step or more back.

Finally for those one they still use IE i think that version 7 is less bad from all.

Gee, I thought these where dead already. I know, John, your time is precious. Please, come to opensuse's world (not to mention opera again and start a war here!).

To all:
Unix is the future and the proof of this is simple:
- Anybody knows that the evolution of the computing systems is laying on the net.
- Anybody knows that the net is built on the rock-solid unix. Servers, applications, mail...

Why do we have to stay hooked to the MS's abortion?

What are the true reasons?
- Is it office?
- Is it explorer?
- Is it Photoshop?
- Is it the drivers of the hardware?
- Is it the colours of the background?

Don't waste time discussing IE, it sucks anyway.
Use chrome and be happy.

While I don't mind using Chrome I prefer FF. 

As for operating systems, that is why microsoft didn't put IE9 on XP so that they will force anyone who wants it to upgrade. 
Microtrash has always been a very nasty player even ripping off other software houses.

I know that there are some alternates for those but I'm too lazy to change at this point.
