Content separeted by categories in the administration menu of the admin back-end

Hey,

I would like to know how Elxis can have in the back-end administrator menu, an option to show only the itens of a category.
As the same as in "Content -> Content by Section -> NameOfASection -> NameOfASection Items" (it shows all the items under the section hierarchy), but I need to show in the add/edit items back-end only the itens of a category. An option related to that, like "Content -> Content by Category -> NameOfACategory -> NameOfACategory Items".

As you want to have it, by a straight menu, there is not. But when you see all content items, if you click on Category, appears a Filter Category and clicking on the name of the category you wish, you will have only the items of this category. Try it, is simple.

Nikos opinion is that we do all of us.
As you can imagine to have over a thousand content items on a category what it will have done on the drop down menu!!

No WebGift, you didn't understand. Not the items on the drop-down menu, but only a option to show these items of a specific category.
...but you know if already exists an administrator template which have this separation? or if exist a form to edit the administrator template to do this? or adding some php code.

I'm thinking in a subdivision in the drop-down menu, like: "Content -> NameOfASection -> NameOfACategoryOfTheSelecteSection -> NameOfTheCategory  Items(this is the option to show the itens of this category)".

seems very simple and easy.

OK, suppose that you made this transformation and you appear this to the back end. What will serve you when the target is the same as i explained you previously and this is the standard and easy way to appear items of any category of a section.

You must edit the database and the #__menu table adding new items... I have never done it, but it should be not that hard...

...yes nikos, the target is the same. But, we're actually passing the responsability of posting the contents, to some final users and they didn't like that way.
They incredibly think that's dificult  . however, thats the way.
I'll see what more I can do, thats all for now.

Halamoreis from my 1st reply on your question-post i said you that "As you want to have it, by a straight menu, there is not" and then i explained you what all elxis users do. I think that you gave too much extension on a matter of low importance (by me), for something which works and serves and nobody asked about before, for changes.
