IOSR Updates: Offline Credit Card Payment

I've managed to update everything in my current version of IOSR to the latest version 3.2 The only part which I have failed to update is the Offline Credit Card (OCC).

I don't think I installed OCC from (gateway 1.0) so when trying to upgrade to gateway 1.2 it doesn't work = BUT I am also trying to install version 1.0 and it will not install.

I am installing it in the same manner as the other ones, via ftp.

For this in the files as instructed in the readme doc: components/com_reservations/pm/

On the Updates of IOSR it says:    No So therefore the update is NOT installed.

What is the problem? And more importantly the solution?

Dont copy the "gateway" folder inside the com_reservations/pm/ folder. You must copy just the containing files.

At the end you must have something like this:

components/com_reservations/pm/ccoffdecr.php
components/com_reservations/pm/ccoffprocess.php
components/com_reservations/pm/offlinecc.php
components/com_reservations/pm/offlinecc.png
components/com_reservations/pm/offlinecc.xml

In the updates page it will always say NO as the system can not check if a gateway is installed or not... You will know if the gateway is install by going to a hotel's edit page. Do you see the gateway in the list of the available payment gateways? If yes then you are fine.

Oh yes, excellent.

Yes, I uploaded the files and not the folder, it was my mistake to think that installed "NO" meant that it was not installed (so it was installed 1st time I did it) but now I realize that the system does not know if a payment gateway or the files have been installed.

Great, BUT I do have a question relating to this:

Is it not possible to give the customers more than one choice of payment method, say for example, paypal and offline credit card payments?

You can have as many payment options per hotel as you wish.
Just enable more than one and IOSR will ask the customer for his preferable payment method.

I'm using IOSR 3.5 and is possible to verify the credit card validity without charging? Just want to verify only.

The credit card offline payment method already validates credit cards.
Off course the final validation should be done in other ways, as for example the credit card can be stolen or anything else, IOSR has no way to know that.
