cache/ folder permission

Hi,
keep getting the following error in the browser :

" Error creating feed file, please make folder cache/ writable (permissions 777)

the permissions are 777. Doing it all over FTP cause it's on the server

it's using the Plesk Control Panel. When I has installing Elxis there was an error with time settings, and PHP permissions were mentioned. Could that be causing it?

Try deleting cache folder. Create it again and give the right (777) permissions.

Does the problem still exist?

Fixed it. Sorry... it was my fault.
i was changing permissions using an FTP program, and it did change permission to the folder but not the files within.

Anyway I changed it all with FileZilla which has the option of applying permissions to subfolders and files, and its all working now.

Hope I'm getting the permissions right though.
