Component Bridge for elxis 2008?

i would like to ask if there is a bridge component for elxis 2008.I have found for elxis 2006 in the download center but for the latest edition nothing .

The Bridge system has been abandon as it has been proved a bad solution. Not the bridge system itself but the idea of bridging different applications in general. Making 2 large applications such as Elxis and a Forum work simultaneously is an extremely heavy task for the web server and no one can guarantee that the union of these 2 different systems will work securely and errors free. Bridge support will be completely removed from Elxis next version.

Hic, so now we have no chosen in Forum feature, have no forum support Elxis system. Then maybe Elxis planning to release a forum component?  How long does it take?

im new user in elxis and was confused about this,i'm looking for a  free component for eshop and read somewhere about bridge components,so i could use the X-Cart    Do u have any idea if i can use something similar to bridge system?

There is the PowerBoard component which I built 1-2 years ago. As I have no free time to support one more component I gave that component to the community to support it, create new versions, etc, but no one did something such as an upgrade. So the component should be considered as not usable any more.

There is also component Bubbles, which is compatible to Elxis 2008.x/2009.x. Bubbles is a small forum component. You can download it from elxis-downloads.com.

BUT if you are going to built a big forum with thousands of users and posts you better make it as a separate application, like we have done in this forum. Most of the sites do not need registered users in the main site but only in the forum. So you can have a forum like phpbb, smf, etc, in which people will be able to register and a site with elxis with no registered users. www.elxis.org and forum.elxis.org uses this system with success. As you can see on elxis.org, you can display forum's latests posts inside an Elxis site even if the elxis and the forum are not bridged. You can also make modules to display more things if you wish.

Elxis has a shopping cart component, named eshop, you don't need to use bridges. Just check it in action: http://demo.isopensource2.com. And here is a live site using IOS eshop: http://www.rentasite.co.gr/com_eshop/ As I don't like to advertise myself, I won't tell more on this.
