Migration from another CMS to Elxis: Hot Property
«

Hi all,
I need to convert a realestate site from one CMS to Elxis.
The client uses Hot Property and has gotten used to working with it. I know it was possible 2 years ago, but can hot_property still be used with Elxis?
If not, is there a good replacement for a "not very net savy" person?
Thanks in advance.

What to you want to convert exactly ?
Template or all site ?
I don't think that you can do it.
Elxis is free source CMS but unique !

You can at least
wrap
(hot property) it, into your Elxis sites.

With the wrap he will all the advantages of the Elxis and he will stuck with the "hot property" and joomla.
And the with wrap the data from the search engines will not be readable.
So Trijnie, you have the following options:
1. Place an job offer, to find a person how will take the "conversion" - re write the whole component & module's & bot
2. Take a look at the semi-completed component "Estate Agent" there was an old version for Elxis 2006 or 2008 I don't remember, you can find relative post in the forum.
3. Use ONLY the Elxis CMS ( as I have done for estate agent website, you can find the link in to the "Build with Elxis..." section).

Hello all,
Thank you all for the responses.

Whole site including template. Hey, everything is possible
. It's not the site or template I'm worried about.
Indeed, this is an old joomla site. The wrapper is unfortunately not an option.
I will take a look at the Estate Agent and also will look into the option of using Elxis itself for this.
Thanks again.

Notice !!
Estate Agent (Elxis Version) as I am informed (and all of us in our community) it is
NOT
ready, and so I it is
NOT
suggested to use it.
Usage of the version that we have see, it is
NOT
stable and you will find several problems to solve in first place.
If you need any guidance or help don't hesitate to send me PM or Email.

Thank you for the warning Sirigos. I will let de client test-drive Elxis first and let him decide if he needs another component for this.
