New content - Published, but is Pending

I have met a problem these days in a new website.

When I create a new content, in the "Start Publishing" option of "Publishing" the box comes with the following format (of course the date is updated): "2008-05-19" and when I apply or save the content the Start Publishing box comes with 2008-05-19 00:00:00
The problem is that the content isn't published immediately, but it is Published and pending till 00:00:00.

Has anyone met the same problem ?
Have you solve it ? and if yes how ?

Of course a fast solution is to select a previous date, but imagine if you have to create your new website and your have 50 contents to add, it is ~45 minutes additional work.

My opinion is, if it is not only my problem we must do something to fix it.

Not sure that this will help, but mine says pending but it's still published in the front-end.

There is nothing to worry about. This is what happens:
The current date time is 2008-05-23 18:56:12
If I add a content item now it gets as publish day the 2008-05-23 00:00:00.
This mean that you have to wait until 00:00 at night for the item to be published.
Just edit the content item and set as publish day a day before and the problem will be solved.
