Problem with Godaddy.com and Elxis

Hello, to begin I'd like to congratulate you for this wonderful cms.

I have already built a website in the previous version and it was working fine until some day without a reason when I try to post new content or edit existing content  (either through Administration or frontpage) the page is loading until I get a connection reset server response.  Also, when I try to edit a menu item and then save it, it also ends up in server connection reset. Furthermore, when I try to edit each item, it gets checked out and I have to check it in.
I tried repairing the tables and optimizing but it didn't work.

Then I saw that the newer version of elxis (elxis 2008) is up and I installed it hoping that the problem will not persist. I was wrong. it also worked fine until some point but then it's all the same again. the website is http://www.oedd.gr

In localhost installation it just works fine. I believe that it's a hosting problem ( godaddy.com ) but can't figure what it is. The odd thing is that both installations worked fine until they stopped working.
Mods like shoutbox are working fine, the problem is with core elxis.

Your PHP version is too old! You should update your PHP to 4.4.8. I see that powerboard has a problem but this is natural as powerboard has not been updated for Elxis 2008.0. I don't see any other problem. Maybe it is a memory issue (memory 8MB or lower) or a file is missing or a language files is wrong. You can see your server error log to find out what causes this problem.

Hello, I updated to php 5 and still the same. Also, I contacted technical support ( I use Godaddy Shared Hosting) but they say that shared hosting customers are not allowed access to error logs (!!!) and it's not their problem. I still believe it is a server configuration error, but I can't seem to convince them (having spent over 4 hours waiting on the tech support phone overseas).

Also a new message I get is "Detected CSRF attack! Someone is forging your requests."..

I can't change the global configuration either. The site was for us ( Volunteer Firefighters ) a grand step forward and now after 2 weeks work it seems like backward steps to hell.

Please help. If you want I can provide you the login info in order to see for yourselves.

Please, don't EVER post your config files in public places like forum!!! For your own safety. In addition, you left your SMTP user and pass (I covered them).
I visited your site, and everything loks OK in frontend. Just don't allow error reporting for security reasons. One more security matter ($mosConfig_register_globals = '1'; ) should be $mosConfig_register_globals = '0';

Now about your problem, wich is most likely due to hosting server config... I have noticed this $mosConfig_locale = ''; 
From my experience, I know that some hosts just won't work with Elxis. Have you considered changing host?

Thank you for the change, I'm so overwhelmed editing and retrying that I posted the configuration passwords..

I also installed the smf forum (latest version) and it's all the same ( connection reset errors). I'm currently thinking of changing host...

Last year, just about this time, I've had even worse problems with netfirms.com... They changed MySQL version, and imported all my site data as ANSI. I've lost the whole site! They didn't even understand what I was talking about UTF-8 collation. 

Find your self some nice european host, where support at least knows the difference between Greece and grease.

lol. yes Well the problem is with greek characters !!! I just figured out that if you post english content there's no problem, but when you post Greek then it goes resetting the connection..

I think it needs a psychiatrist, not a technician.

Right.  I used to be a customer of godaddy in the past and everything worked fine. I suppose they have more clients than they can handle. ( Estimated waiting time for tech support 24 hours - and international tech support through phone almost 15 minutes... ).

They suck.

Do you know any affordable hosting that is 100% to work with elxis 2008 ? I'm forced to look for cheap hosting because we are a volunteer organization ( Volunteer firefighters) and we don't have much money. We barely gathered the money for godaddy.
