[SOLVED]Differences between elxis and joomla
«

Hello, I am performing a research over CMS engines considering features and abilities in order to choose the one to work with. I wonder if it is possible to state, in a bulleted list, the differences between elxis and its parent (joomla, if am correct).
Thanx

Joomla is certainly NOT a parent of elxis. Mambo is a parent of both joomla and elxis. You'll have to do a little deeper research. Regarding Elxis features, you may find them on the frontpage of
www.elxis.org
or even better, you may explore it's features on
www.elxis-demo.com
(recommended).
You may however, find this forum useful as well:

Well, I am sorry for the misunderstanding of elxis' fathership (as I have stated, I am a newbie).
I am not interested in elxis features (their presence in the home page is obvious). I am interested in the differences between the two. What elxis is offering so I can vote in favor of it. Maybe these two CMS engines are not a subject of comparison, but if they are, I want to discover issues that are important and can not be discovered just be "playing" with the demo.
Thanx

Most important features in favor of Elxis over Joomla are:
UTF-8 support (support for all languages)
ACL (Access control)
Extra user fields
Of course, in Elxis 2008 there are features like SEOpro, SoftDisk, and others, wich make it difficult to even comapre with joomla.
Believe me, I have tried just about EVERY CMS out there, even translated some of them (jooomla 1.5, e107 0.76, etc..) but after I found Elxis there was no doubt in my mind anymore. Of course, your needs might be different then mine, and you should try everything you see interesting until you find your solution.
