I know that if I do that it will work, but what i want is to have a welcome page as the first page, and show the new items as an alternative page, Is that possible?

com_frontpage is only for the frontpage... all other uses just raise problems.. delete it if you don't use(from all menus) for your home page .. remember to clear trash.


what you are looking for is:

a new link to blog section or blog category

select all or some(ctrl+click)  cats or sections and config the parameters at the right to customize the layout of you new link

Thanks for your help, It's similar to the thing that I want, and is an option to solve my problem, but I'm going to miss the option to select which specific articles apear and which not.
