Hello!
I am glad to be back to the Elxis community after several years. I tried and installed to our internal company server Elxis CRM, 4 or 5 years ago in order to use it as an intranet server. This year we have moved with our new company to intensive webservices for our clients and we are looking for a good crm solution. It seems we have found it. Discovering new Elxis 4.1 was a really nice surprise. Although there are some minor problems:
1. I've just installed nice and easy Elxis 4.1 on the webserver! Then I enabled multisites and created 2 subsites. All went fine but the result was always the same: "Offline! The website is offline. Sorry, the website is currently under maintenance." I can not access the admin panel of the subsites. Thanks in advance!
2. We want to help adding Romanian language. Is there another intiative in progress or it must be started from ground? What are the necessary steps?
3. Our intention is to develop a Romanian portal and to create sub-sites like booking for hotels, car rental, etc. As far as we understand all these are possible with Elxis, of course with some comercial extensions.
Any advice and similar experience is welcome!

Hi Theodoru and welcome back to Elxis.
After enabling multi-sites you have to edit
.htaccess
file and set some new rewrite rules. Have you done that?
Related documentation:
https://www.elxis.net/docs/using-elxis/administration/multisites.html
As far as I know there is no
Romanian
translation in progress. You have to do it from scratch.
How to proceed:
1.
Create a copy of folder
language/en/
to
language/ro/
and rename all files from
en.something
to
ro.something
2.
Open each file with a text editor of your choice (pspad, notepad++, etc) and translate it. Save the file as UTF-8 without BOM.
3.
When ready send the files to me or to webgift to check them and include them into Elxis official release (our usernames are also our elxis.org emails).

Welcome back to Elxis Community Theodoru. Really happy that old members come here with us. I enclose you a short guide that i had created about how to translate Elxis CMS 4.x into any language:
