IOSR Cars development

I started developing a Car Rentals extension for IOS Reservations 4.x.
It is too early to announce anything regarding it but if you have a feature request you can post it below.

The basic concept is as following:
In IOSR locations you create pick up /drop off places where people can get or leave the rental cars. You also create routes between these places and you can set extra charges for some of them and also the pickup/drop off availability times. Cars will be separated into categories and charged per day. Car extras will also be supported as well as other extras (such as insurance or miles). IOSR Cars will share the same locations and payment modules as in IOSR 4.x Core as it is an IOSR extension.

I post a screen shot of IOS Reservations 4.x with extensions IOSR Hotels and IOSR Cars as it is now.

The developement of IOSR Cars (car rentals extension for IOS Reservations) goes very fast. The biggest part of the administration interface is ready and now I work on the frontend section.
I post a screen shot from the cars fleet listing page (still under development).

Is it going to include and motorcycles (2 wheels), or it is made only for 4 wheels?

For simplicity and in order to minimize the extension size* the car types are built in. They are taken from what the most companies use to separate them (from super mini to truck) but there are also 10 free to rename car types, so you can change them to what ever you like.

* In order the IOSR Cars extension to be released as soon as possible and in a very low price some extensions' parts are "compact".

I think it is one of the smartest forms I have ever designed. IOSR Cars accepts rentals of duration from 1 hour to 90 days (configurable).
It is full responsive and mobile friendly as everything else in IOSR.
Unfortunately you cannot feel the functionality of the form by looking the screen-shot

With IOSR Cars extension IOS Reservations will be enriched a lot.

After IOSR Cars I think of developing a mini shopping cart for IOSR which will be free! I even think of renaming IOS Reservations to a more generic name like just "IOS" in order to develop more general thinks for it, even a forum! Elxis 4.x and IOSR are excellent platforms to develop things and especially anything related to tourism business. If any developer wants to build an IOSR extension just contact me!

Yes, you can add any type of vehicle (cars, motorcycles, trucks, buses, tricycles, bicycles, electric, hybrid, scooters, anything...)
There is no "seats" option, but there is a "passengers" option which is the same I believe and has an upper limit of 90 (passengers).

Till now the following have been completed 100% in front-end section

• Vehicles listing page
• Pick-up/Drop-off places listing page (with support for multiple countries)
• IOSR Cars frontpage
• Search vehicles with multiple criteria and display search results.
• Maps and internal purpose pages like AJAX requests

Pages I work on or I still have to do in front-end

• Rent a car/motorcycle (I currently work on this)
• Car/Motorcycle details view page
• Other less importance front-end pages

These days I also work on other things (Photo Vote plugin before, Newsletter module now) and so IOSR Cars development is slower but still continues. I believe I will have it ready till the end of February as scheduled.
