== General information ==
There is no need to delete any folder manually when an update process is required.
You can't update the version 2008 to 2009.3. You should visit the Patches page of Elxis Download Center here: http://www.elxis-downloads.com/downloads/patches/ and upgrade your current version step by step.
Download the relative patch each time and follow the upgrade instructions as included to the zip file.

== As for your issue ==
You have to delete the installation folder of your Elxis CMS root directory.
If you have any backup please upload the deleted folders as you did yesterday.

On your ftp locate the directory "installation" and remove it.
