Good Afternoon dear friends,

After installing the ios gallery component appears the follow message even the photogallery was installed success.

mysql Error [2006] : EXECUTE
MA DB function failed with error number 2006
MySQL server has gone away
SQL =

SELECT id, title, module, position, content, showtitle, params FROM elx_modules
 WHERE published = '1' AND position='debug' AND (client_id = 1)
 ORDER BY ordering

The component work but i can not upload a photo.

Any ideas how i can solve it?

Your Mysql was overloaded and the connection to it terminated. This can happen some times on heavy loaded servers but not always. Do you always get this message? I guess not. If you got it only during install then maybe the installer didn't managed to fully complete its job. You can de-install and re-install IOS Gallery to be sure it is installed properly.

Hi Datahell,

I have try to reinstall it several times in different hours but i got the same result !! I tried to install the stargallery and had the same result !

At the same server and in different site the installation was working smouthly without any problem !!
This problem came for first time and only at this installation !

Any idea ?

Then maybe something fails and the script takes too long to complete and so mysql dies. Needs debug to find out the exact cause.
You must see your server's error log for errors.
If you can't find a solution send me if you like username/password for admin section and FTP to check it.

I have send you pm with the username and pswd Unfortunately i can not fix the problem by my self !!

The problem finally was from the ftp settings !!

For some how the ftp at global configuration didn't work at elxis and i turn it off .
After that all the installations works fine !!
