Elxis 2007 official development launch!

From today we started develope the next Elxis release (2007).
Code name for the development version: Vampire.
In the next period we will need your help, fresh ideas and your contribution.
We will announce soon how you can help and participate.

Simple calender and structure for more subs under a categorie and maybe a simple forum

We will discuss together all issues and we will implement everything than can be done during a logical time period. The first thing I think we must implement is commentary on content items. Comments should be a feature bind to Elxis core.

We dont use to give a roadmap. We dont want to publish all of our ideas by now. We will announce every topic and after conversation we will implement it in Elxis. In the meanwhile you can post features requests. This procedure can go till the May-June, no more. By June we must have Elxis 2007 ready!

Hi, what about a Newsletter feature? (visitor subrscription & unsubscription capability, write articles using an online Editor, send newsletters exc)

* Mass Email cannot exactly work as a Newsletter Tool.

Darkness inspires me and gives me a glimpse of the primitive chaos. A vampire is a creature that lives in darkness/mystery and this is what Elxis 2007 dev is. You think you have to do with an ordinary people?

I don't like the name at all... I started with nestor and other perfect names... Did you ask as if we like to be in darkness and chaos???

-Yes you are an ordinary man how works with ordinary people and if you believe in something ellse... then maybe you should start reading more "Heracletus" (Ηράκλειτο) and less php,java etc... He will help you rediscovering yourself and what really you can do.


I started with briliant and lighted names, i would really love to continue with that way in future:
- 2006.a alpha
From the Alfa (A),  the first letter of Greek alphabet. First Elxis (test publication).

- 2006 Zeus
Zeus: The father of gods and persons. The first constant publication of Elxis. They exist online sites that still runs in this publication!

- 2006.1 Rio
Rio: Lented from Rio of Achaia and the there bridge. In publication 2006.1 was imported the system of bridging of Elxis.

- 2006.2 Medusa
Medusa: In publication 2006.2 it was imported floodblocker and attraction defender. Systems of protection and defence of the CMS. The Medusa from publication 2006.2 seces the Elxis.

- 2006.3 OpenMind
The first public publication of Elxis. The alone publication that took English name (open mind = open brain) and this in order to it declares in all the world of that Elxis it is here: Open in all, open source, with new philosophy and brains.

- 2006.4 Nestor
From the ancient wise greek king Nestor. Elxis in this publication it became wideness  based on the preexisting experience and on the publication the 2006.3 it corrected small problems that had even been located (even if, here, according to our habit, were imported also new operations)...

The real point of our CMS, we didn't told you from begging because it's not to attractive for the commerce as the greek names and philosophy we use at first.....


John i consider to think again for the name please...  why not Ades (Άδης) or something like that if you want to keep some lines.

I repeat that it is a temporary name for the developement version, not the real version that will be released! Vampire is the code name for Elxis 2007 dev, an internal working version that you will never see! Elxis 2007.0 will have a different name! Do you understand this?

Yes, now i do understand this. I didn't understand it before,i thought it was the final name. I hope you will have the gods with you Ioannis and make your best work that ever done.
