The problem was fixed. It was due to a small mistype in http headers.
elxis.org now serves the fixed release.
For those already upload it in their site download the file I attach and replace the existing one:
includes/install/install.php

The documentation is written at this time and it is not yet ready to be published.
I guess we will have it ready in a week or so.

I know you will have many-many things you will not understand in the new Elxis.
Under Elxis 4.0 lays a powerful core which needs advanced skills to be fully understandable. But this doesn't matter simple web masters. We will also publish documentation for developers, bringing Elxis features into light. You can explore it and test it by your self, ask here, and wait for the documentation.

To download extensions visit the EDC browser from within Elxis administration (Extensions -> Browse EDC). The whole Elxis world is in your adminstration's section!
There are already several extensions we have written for Elxis 4.x. Try them!

In order for SEO PRO to work you must rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess
If you have place it inside a folder the htaccess needs to be changed properly.

maybe it's too early but i report some problems that happens to me

i have a problem in administrator, i can't save anything when i try to save some changes it gives me

Page not found!

also when i have open two windows one for the frontpage and one for the administrator, it happens something strange, i cant logout from the administrator but i can logout from the frontend
