Google Docs Viewer Bot

Google Doc Viewer bot gives you the ability to quickly view documents online without leaving your browser using Google Docs Viewer technology. You can post a document file like pdf, doc, xls etc ( see the supported file types below) into a content item or an autonomous page or even at product's description area of your eshop website using Elxis CMS 2009.x.

Overview document features
There are 2 main modes that bot can display the registered documents. These are :
1. Button Mode. An image button will be displayed at the point of the article that we called the bot. You can read the document by clicking on that image. With the use of Highslide technology ,Document will be appeared in a popup window into your browser!
2. Review it within the article's area as is. Document will be displayed uncharged using iframe choice.
Switching mode can be determined by the parameters of Bot.

Upload document features
We can upload - set the document with 2 different ways each time. There are :
1. Using an FTP client program. We can upload the document via FTP server to our 'elxis' website at /images/userfiles/ folder. The bot can be called by writing the expression :{gviewer}filename.filetype{/gviewer}* at Elxis administration area (into editor).
2. Writing the live url of document. For example : {gviewer}http://www.mywebsite.gr/google.doc{/gviewer}*

* In order to avoid writing each time the expression of Google Doc Viewer Bot : {gviewer}.....{/gviewer} we have published one more bot that generates an Image button at Elxis Administrator Area (below of WYSIWYG text editor) [Download that bot below]

Supported file types
The Google Docs Viewer bot supports over 15 different file types, listed below:
Microsoft Word (.DOC and .DOCX) , Microsoft Excel (.XLS and .XLSX) , Microsoft PowerPoint (.PPT and .PPTX) , Adobe Portable Document Format (.PDF) , Apple Pages (.PAGES) , Adobe Illustrator (.AI) , Adobe Photoshop (.PSD) , Tagged Image File Format (.TIFF) , Autodesk AutoCad (.DXF) , Scalable Vector Graphics (.SVG) , PostScript (.EPS, .PS) , TrueType (.TTF) , XML Paper Specification (.XPS) and  Archive file types (.ZIP and .RAR)

i install Google Docs Viewer on localhost as well as my website.once i click button on content page,popup windows open without documents.no documents shown either doc or pdf.

where i am doing wrong please guide me

i am testing it localhost
i typed: {gviewer}01.pdf{/gviewer}
where 01 is the pdf file name.i put it in images/userfiles

azmi2, Google Docs viewer can't access your local file. You should upload it on the internet.

i have 50 pdf forms.i want to put all in one page with their name,like

1:employee salary form
2:vacation form

50:other form

i want that if a user want to see vacation form,once he click vacation form text,then pdf form should be open
there is any idea for this.
what is command for this.how we can display text vacation form.

You can either use Google Docs Viewer bot (button mode) or you can simply create a link directing to each PDF file separately.

It's not a good idea to open 50 different PDF files in only one page using iFrame. Please visit the bot's parameter page.

i do not want to open 50 pdf on a page,may be i am not able to tell what i want to say.

i want to know how we can give link to any file in Google doc viewer.

i have a text such that

"procedure for filling form"
"procedure for salary form"
"procedure for employee  form"

all above 3 forms are either  pdf or doc file.i want to put all 3 text line  on a autonomous page.when user click one by one ,it must be open in doc viewer.

what is command for this,how we can do this.
