Pre-installation problem

Hello.
I have uploaded Elxis on our server but the page I'm getting is like this:

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@greekroms.net and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I had uploaded Elxis on another server and of course I got the installation page.
Joomla is already installed on the same server (not by me, I'm still inexperienced).

I have even tried chmod to 777 but it's not that.
Any ideas?

Seems to be a permissions issue.
Chmod directories to 755 or 750.
Chmod index.php and index2.php to 644.
Chmod /installation/index.php to 644.

Try again.

This is a very late answer by me and that's because all that time I did nothing about it ;-/
Anyway, the problem was indeed a permissions issue...
