cant delete Categories

{cant delete Categories,it says cannot be removed as they contain records}
went to Content Items Manager deleted what i wrote back
to categories and cant delete that

You must delete these content items from Trash Manager.

From Administrator Area go to Site --> Trash Manager. Select all content items from this category and click to delete them.

Now you are ready to delete this category from Categories Manager!

on the left is a lock no box preventing me from deleting categories but the other picture said deleted to trash now ill show you trash pict
because these things are still there as in pic 1 and 2 1 it says plese make selection but i have a lock on 1 item

1. Select all the content items on the Trash Manager and delete them.
2. Avoid to click the "back" button when you are on the content item parameters or category parameters.
3. To leave this "lock" image just enter to each category - content item and then click the "save" button at the right top on this screen.

Then you' ll have the permission to delete the categories.
