error on template install

Hi, trying to install my template on the server through the administrator, and I get the following error:

ERROR: Could not find an XML setup file in the package

Is there something different in 2009.1? because it installs on my local server.

have you developed your own tpl?

have you modified an other tpl?
- /tmpr file writeable?
-make sure that you have not doubled-zipped the folder that contains the  tpl...
-also that you have not the tpl in a sub folder inside the zipped folder
-finally that you have the xml file


finding all this hard..?
just upload in elxis templates folder your tpl(unzipped) .. actually ther is no need of any kind installation, just upload, in any case you need the xml file, make sure that exists
