I really disappointed with Elxis , I didn't find any good tutorial for converting Joomla components to Elxis. Now I need to go back to Joomla because I can't install components I need. Can anybody suggest a painless move to Joomla? ASAP

Hi first of all, and I am really disappointed to hear the you prefer to go back to Joomla.
I would like to be clear something to you, Elxis is NOT a Joomla clone, Elxis and especial 2008 version has absolutely different code struction from any other CMS.
So there will not be one tutorial for how to convert a Joomla component / module / mambot / plugin from 3rd parties developers into the Elxis CMS, the only way to learn the Elxis code you have the following ways:
1st, to find your one the Elxis code.
2nd, to check the general guidelines
https://www.elxis.org/guides/developers-guides/
3rd, The Elxis Code
http://code.elxis.org/20080/nav.html?index.html
If you try all the before or you need in any way to go to Joomla
1st, You can make a post to Joomla forum
2nd, to make a post in to our
Job-offering ads

The number of available extensions for Elxis CMS is a weak point but keep in mind these:
1. The existing extensions for Elxis are all secure and work perfect. A big number of mambo and joomla extensions are full of bugs or abandoned by their developers.
2. We continiously publish new extensions and day by day their number increases.
3. Some needed extensions are included in Elxis core so you dont have to install a third party component for them.
4. If you search this forum or Elxis.org there are some guides to help you start developing software for Elxis.
5. I personally have published a full-detailed tutorial on "creating components for Elxis cms". Did you read it?
The conversion from one platform to the other can be easy if you dont care about the quality of the final extension. Personally I can convert almost any joomla component to Elxis compatible in 2-3 days but I dont do it because in order to be absolutely right they must be written from scratch. I could not publish something that is not good, even if it works. This is the Elxis spirit, we do not give people just free software but the best software possible!
