Installing on different http port

Hi, I have configured my apache to listen on port 8080 and I have launched the 2008.0 elxis installation. When asked to state the host on which the installation will perform, I gave "localhost". The database creation was successful. On the on coming page where the URL and path information is present I get this URL:
http://localhost:8080:8080/elxis80
In order to proceed with the installation I must correct it to
http://localhost:8080/elxis80
It is a minor problem, of course

Hi epaz,
This thing you described happens on some WAMP (LAMP) solutions. I saw it once while testing various revers, but I can't remember what was it. What are you using for your local server?
PS
This is not a problem, rather the way some servers funcion.

I know...
I use WAMP server on my local machine, and it works OK. If this "problem" is annoying you, try using WAMP, it is very cute.

It is not annoying at all. It is encountered once, you correct it and you forget about. I mentioned it as a minor issue and nothing more. Consider the case closed.
Thanx
