question about elxis 4.x front page content

Hello all,
After reviewing the implementation of the new site, I am wondering why does the initial installation of elxis 4.x use content from a module on the front page instead of an content from an article?
I realize that when creating a content article that the content in different languages are within the article which is the same logic for content module. Apart from that it appears that a change might be necessary to the default route.
Are there any other differences or advantages to using content from a module on the front page instead of an content from an article?
I think that explaining this more helps others to understand the power and flexibility better that Elxis 4.x provides.
Food for thought!

Module Content and articles have nothing in common. A content module contains html text which is independent from any other data in the site and cannot generate a page itself. All modules are only blocks of additional information, not the main information of a page. On the other hand an article is part of content tree structure and has much more options to control it. An article is not just html text, an article has its own page which fully controls.

Hello Datahell,
Therefore using an article as the front page content would be more correct.
I assume that the route must be changed to either the category or the article.
Thanks!

I don't think it is a matter or right and wrong, it depends on what you want to do. Frontpage grid of modules allows you to fully customize Elxis frontpage. If you want to display an article in your site's frontpage then all you have to do is to change site's default route.
Example (autonomous article as frontpage)
content:test.html
Example (category article as frontpage)
content:something/test.html
Example (category as frontpage)
content:something/
