I was wondering if there is any chance to install and make a module from another platform, like joomla wordpress etc etc..., work properly.
Thank you in advance!

Hi m0st,
It is possible, but not very likely if you don't do it yourself. What exactly did you have in mind?

Hello Ivan!
Nothing specific. I was just looking around yesterday and i found some really nice modules that i would like to use but they are in different platforms. So i was just wondering if it is possible and if yes how could this be done. What should someone do if he wants something like that? For example if i want to add a joomla module like a slider etc, i can imagine that i should do some tickling in some of the files. Is there a guide or specific steps that someone should follow in order to do that?
Thank you for your time.

Just as you said, you need to hack your way through the code jungle (so to speak). Other option is to pay someone to develop said module just for you.

Such modules consist mostly by javascript and css. It is not hard to convert it to Elxis but you need some knowledge on both systems to do so. You will have to remove joomla specific php code and replace it with equivalent Elxis code. If the module is small and simple this is a very easy and quick task (no more than 1 hour job). Elxis installation XML is more powerful but much simpler that joomla. You will remove all the listing files and leave only the parameters. When finish zip everything and your Elxis installation package is ready.
