private folder for user to upload and share across the user

i want to be able to add a facility whereby frontend registered user can upload files to the server from his login and also download the same file later. and also share the file across the users. how can this be done. can i use docman for this if yes please guide how? some thing like (yahoo breifcase)

i have checked docman it works for my requirement. can i be able to give permission for multiple user or group?

Yes, I believe that DocMan can be sufficient  for anything regarding file download/upload.
