Persisting module

Hi, all.
I'm trying build a new page under elxis. I created a module which I have chosen to be displayed only in front page. The page is bi-lingual, so Home (for English) and Αρχική (for Greek) are selected in module's configuration. Furthermore, I have created some content items, which are linked to one of the menus. So far, so good. But, when I created a content item, which wasn't supposed to have a link in some menu, I saw that my front page module, was displaying itself in the page where the item should be, as well.
Just by linking the content item in some fake menu solves my problem, but why is this happening?
