accuweather custom code problem

Hello all,
I just installed the accuweather mod 1.2 on a site and tried to use it with both the custom code and without for Athens but it is not working.
After inserting the custom code for Athens, EUR|GR|GR007|ATHENS, and then saving, the parameters show that the bar | symbol is removed.
Is this the problem or has accuweather changed their parameter submission?

A follow up.
I have just uploaded the files via ftp to verify that nothing is corrupt but the results are still the same.
Checked folder and file permissions and they are correct.
The pulldown shows Albania no matter what is chosen and the code continues to remove the bars.
Could there have been a glitch during the last update?

How do you see that the bar symbol has been stripped out from the parameters?
From phpmyadmin? Can you go to phpmyadmin->table "elx_modules" and show me the contents of the column "params"?

I just checked Accuwather at
http://www.isternia.net/
(at the bottom of the right column) without problem any with custom location (EUR|GR|GR007|ATHENS).
Are you sure you do everything right?
If anyone has problem with Accuweather send me a PM with username/password for elxis administration area as well as the city name he wants to display the weather for, to check it.

The bar was stripped out from the module parameters after I saved it.
Then when I opened the database using phpmyadmin, I looked at the parameters there and the bars were missing.
I fixed it only by replacing (copy / paste) the codes in the two parameters.
I noticed after the module saved the parameters that the selection of athens, greece was reverting to the first pull down - albania and that the bars were being removed.
I am not sure if the accuweather site continues to use the same parameters as I looked for megara, attiki greece but didn't find the codes the way that I had in the past.

I will check it once more right now and reply you in a few minutes with the test results.
Edit:
I just installed the latest version of Accuweather (1.2) on Elxis 2009.2.
I added the "EUR|FI|FI002|HELSINKI" (Helsinki Finland) as a custom code for location.
And the weather displayed just fine. The bars did not get stripped off.
See the attached screenshot.
If the bars are get stripped off from the parameters in your site please tell me which version of PHP do you use and the server's OS. In that case, to bypass the problem, I could modify the module to use a different symbol instead of the bar.
Get the proper location code here:

Gremlins!
I don't know what to tell you because I have checked permissions, verified files, php versions, and anything else I could think of.
The only thing that comes to mind is the possiiblity of a glitch that happens during the save and affects only that particular table in the sql.
I fixed it by directly replacing the location codes in the sql via phpmyadmin.
Anyway, it is working and this info is available to anyone who has a similar problem.
Thank you Datahell
