News article in main menu and top menu-how will affect SEO

I've got a piece of article as part of the topmenu. Also, I've choosen to reference it out in a new main_menu on the left hand side of the template called "Recommended articles". In this Recommended Articles left menu I want to add any article I consider interesting.
Now I've got two links pointng to the same page. Is this "healthy" from a SEO point of view?

Component Sitemap extracts an XML file which start to read menu Items as it's guide and secondly all content items , autonomous pages etc. of your page
Don't forget that Google Spiders read your HTML code of your page ( on firefox ctrl+U at your page to see the HTML code) from the begging till the end.
So if you double an info 'confuse' the google and thus google Spider

It's better to describe one of them with a little different words in order to have a bit more spectrum of your SEO words analysis.!

Google has on the algorithm 118 parameters that affect SEO of a website. It's also important the main layout of your site (template).
