Menus and Sub menus....?

OK,
When I have a category for items linked to a menu, and then I have submenus, will the mainlevel menu item display all the items listed under the submenu items?

example:

Graphics Cards (main level menu)
--->ATI Cards (submenu)
--->Nvidia Cards (submenu)

how do I achieve this?
