Great script but does not work...

Elxis is a great script but it does not work. Most of the menu items (their names) are translated into other languages but some menu items are not that lucky. Found about 20 spelling errors in Latvian language file and corrected them. after correction a parse error comes up, despite of not touching any code etc. uninstalled Elxis two times and have to say i am not going to install it again. it is sad because Elxis was the only system i found truly multilingual. so, lets get back to good old dreamweaver and do everything manually. will take a lot of work but at least i know that i will have a working site and menu items will have names in the right language...

Elxis uses UTF-8 encoding without BOM. Using wrong encoding in language files can make elxis generate fatal php errors.
I believe this is 100% your fault, not elxis'.

Also tools such as Dreamweaver insert into php files their own custom code generating errors. You never use such tools to edit Elxis php files. All Elxis files are handwritten. Dreamweaver, Frontpage, etc, are tools not for professional usage.

what makes you to believe that you:

1- code is untouched ?
2- your corrections made the proper way?

you must know=>
1- actually ... lang files are code
2- probably you used some kind editor that messed things up?  encoding etc....

I don't think that Elxis is a script ...
Before you post anything it's better idea to read some manuals - articles e.t.c that they have created by Elxis Team and after come here to discuss your problem about.
