Expose initial login problem
«

Hello everyone!
I have a very strange problem! I installed the Expose component but I cannot login into the Album Manager with the default password (manager). When I press LOGIN it does completely nothing. I am suspecting of my web hosting settings because in another elxis website this component functions properly. (Specifically, "Register Globals Emulation" and "Register Globals" are enabled, which leads in Warning in Expose System Check)
Perhaps you can help me
Thank you in advance

Hi basil9,
I agree your problem most probably comes from hosting environment.
You need some php extensions to make it work, and judging on Register Globals, I'd say that your host is not very well configured.
Try to add your pictures via FTP and see if it work.

did you tried to test expose's configuration from it's control panel?
you will see there the most necessary(not all) requirements of expose and if they are covered by your server....
start from there.
i am suspicious about the "session path" ... check expose config!

Thank you all for your answers!
I told my web hosing company about the Expose problem and they replied that I have to create the proper php.ini file in order to disable "Register Globals", which I did. Although the setting has changed in "Expose System Check" page, the problem still remains.
I also made a notification in the above page: There is a warning in the Expose version setting (0.9) and I don't know why it happens.
