Elxis performance

Hello,

i'm tring to build with Elxis an international booking portal for 15 main cities in the world as affiliated to booking.com containing al lot of detailed content for each city.
The problem is that i'have now installed on my ISP Hosting Server Ixwebhosting ( www.ixwebhosting.com ) Elxis and witj only the default installation that is on line now i see that the loading of the pages is very slow ( You can verify this at http://www.hihotelsandhotels.com )
No i 'imagine that could be a an ISP performance problem , but could you suggest to me something can i do to improve the performance or what i'have to ask to ISP ? I'have enabled the Cache with a 43200 sec setting, but nothins seems to change. Could you check visting the site if yo find the loading slow ?

Hi Mariano, I checked your installation and I understand your problem. There is nothing much to do except changing hosting.

PS
I noticed however, that you didn't enable gzip compression in Global Configuration. You may try to enable it, and if nothing happens, change the hosting.

By visiting the http://www.hihotelsandhotels.com see the problem that you mention.

I would like to ensure you that the delay that your site has it is NOT from the Elxis, but 90% from your hosting.
For such a project you have to select wisely your hosting provider, I just you a provider based to Europe. VPS or Deticade.

Browsing the ixwebhosting.com I get 3 of 4 pages error & interruptions, DON'T select so unstable servers!!

If you search the forum you can find result from the performance of the Elxis CMS.

First, thank you very much for your fast reply and assistance, it's always a pleasure discover a so great and professional community like the yours -)
I hadn't no doubt on the great quality and the trustworthiness of Elxis and i was sure too that this is an ISP hosting problem but i'wanted to know if i could do some more on the configuration side.
I have just acrivated gzip compression and seems to be a little better but i totally agree with you that for a so important project i can't risk problems so i'll change ISP, i'll try to ask a refund to Ixwebhosting trying to prove them that is a their problem -) In the meantime i'll search for a new reliable and high performance ISP , now 'i go to see also what ISP VPS or Deticade server i can choose as suggested form you.  If you could suggest me also the name of some good Iand reliabele SP that i can evaluate both in Europe or in USA , i appreciate your help -))

Thank you guys for your help and suggestions -)) For Hetzener..i've seen it and for me it should be ok, but the only ( big -)) ) problem for me that it seems to be only in german language, i wrong ? May be you know if Control Panel is also in english ?

Everything is in German. But they reply to you in English if you send them an e-mail in English.
You will also need to login in Hetzner's control panel only a few times (i.e. for rebooting the server or for seeing your receipts).

Ok, perfect, besides now i've seen that using Google Translator i 'm able to understand almost everytthing, however communicating with them in english there is no problem -)
