how to delete /installation

i have (almost) finished the installation. the problem is that i cannot find a way to delete the /installation. i can't enter. it should be easy but i'm a total newbie...   a friend who suggested using this program said something about using FTP.

You can use Internet Explorer to use FTP...
Open Internet Explorer and type ftp://yoursitename.com
From File Menu click on Login as ...
Enter your FTP username & password or your panel username & password here
Then goto the public_html folder ... You will find /installation folder there...
simply delete it

well, I have seen these files  with smartftp or something..
(an older program someone used for this website but it was a trial. I needed something reliable, because  I want to change the site quite often.)

Maybe you deleted the folder, so thats why you dont see it now?

and it's empty. the link for completing installation still says i should erase the folder installation. I'm sorry if the the answer is easy but what am I missing?

maybe installation folder is C:\xampp\htdocs\elxis2008 in my pc?
don't know what else to do.

ok. I cutted folder C:\xampp\htdocs\elxis2008\installation and now the link goes where, I think, it should go.
