elxis as WAP content delivery server

Hi Friends,

I am working on WAP content and finding a proper WAP content delivery server.As i gone through the google , i found https://opencds.dev.java.net/. but this is java based application and database is oracle. i am a open source user .basically mysql/postgre sql, php and perl.

Can we use elxis as a WAP Content delivery server and can we embed wurfl as it mobile device database http://wurfl.sourceforge.net/?

First of all, I am not so familiar with wap. I know more things about SMS/MMS services.
Elxis is a CMS optimized for internet/intranet usage. BUT Elxis 2008 with SEO PRO allows you to make urls anything you want. You can also make urls anything you want with 2006.4 but requires to modify a little the htaccess file.

I imagine this system as follows:
Make Elxis produces pages with extension .wml (1-5 minutes core hacking). Use a special template with special headers optimized for wap and cell phones. You are ready...
Alternative: You could also create a special component that will only be used for cell phones and all other components would serve html content for internet users.
An other thought is that content for cell phones is not so complicated, so here is a question: do you really need a dynamic system for serving content to cell phones or simple (static) wml pages do your work fine?

Basically  WAP content delivery is we considered as totally dynamic. There would be wml , xhtml , if we are talking about more basic of wap. Hence we need to maintain proper mobile device database as well. To get success on that point we can use wurfl as the device database.

In a WAP content delivery server ,

1.There should be a mobile device repository
2.Device rendering method
3.Content rendering method
4.content integration, all kind of images ( jpeg, gif ....etc) , video contents, misic ....etc
5.Third party content aggregations
6.Billing

Don't get any mis understanding. Here i do not want to send you SRS or any thing. I just wanted to say , from a WAP content delivery server what would be the users must be excepted.
