Elxis 4 - Viewing working site while down for maintenance? [SOLVED]

Hi,
first of all GREAT WORK with the new Elxis. Looks great and I cannot wait to start creating sites using it. Thank you for all the hard work you're putting in to create such a great CMS for us.
I just installed Elxis 4 and I want to play around creating a template or even working on the existing ones. I put the site under construction because it is a live site which had the previous version of elxis.
Is it possible to view the site while the "under construction" page is viewed from the rest of the world? Can we preview our changes? Or should I create a different under construction site and work on elxis in the background like I did in the past?
thank you
EDIT>>> Just noticed in the admin that I can modufy the frontpage with a great drag&drop tool. Will that create a template for us?

SORRY
I put it live only for administrators and that's what I was after.
Feel so stupid. Got all excited to get my hands dirty with it that did not spend the time to look at the settings.
Sorry admins. You can delete this topic if you like...
