problem with banner

hello.
if i write a code like this:
<a href="http://xxxxxx.com?refid=xxxx&bannerid=xxxxxx"><img src="http://www.xxxxx.net/banners/xxxxx_037.jpg"></a>
in the custom code filed

after that saved i checked and i found only the code without the img src like this

<a href="http://xxxxxx.com?refid=xxxx&bannerid=xxxxxx"></a>

it works right???

i also put html code in banner source code window,after saving data,it disappear and nothing display.what is problem.
