Languages and SEO

I've just noticed that (using Attracta) that some pages show duplicate title tags for the default language and the English language. How can I avoid that problem in a multilingual CMS like Elxis?
Thanks,
Bob

Yes, you are right, this may happen. Please give me exact examples to tell you what to do in each case.

Hi Datahell,
Please see attached the screenshots from Attracta web page showing these errors. There are some pages I don't see how to attach meta descriptions/tags to them (for example the one underlined in red)...can you help?
Thanks,
Bob

For the eBlog, weblinks (link) and login page the title is multilingual, so it should not be the same. For the "xml" links you should not care as they are RSS feeds, not pages. There is only one issue and this is for the site's frontpage. In order to solve this you need a hack (change site's title depending on current language).

Hi everyone,
Checking now the Google Webmaster Tools I notice that I've got duplicate meta descriptions for article pages in default language(en) and in custom language (ro), does anyone know how this can be avoided?

It is not important.
The first 2 is because you display the same article in multiple languages, therefor the article has the same metadata for both languages.
The other 2 are eblog's frontpages and as eblog has the same title for all languages it is normal to get that alert.
Ignore those alerts.

Ignore those alerts.
Does that mean these won't affect the page and site ranking?

The important rule regarding META DATA is that they should match the page's content. All the rest are bullshit...
Note also that google almost ignores meta data as they can be easily used for back hat SEO. Google determines the content of a page by scanning it and analyze its content, not by meta data.
