Resturants Review Module for IOSR

Hi everyone,

This is mainly directed at you (Datahell) but I wanted to make it public to see if any other members could also make us of such module.

Would a restaurant (cafe, etc any eating place) review/comment system like that of hotel not be useful for IOSR either built into the system or as a separate module? The restaurant can be attached to a particular destination.

So lets say I have destination A - this could have many different restaurants and these can be reviewed by the site visitors just like a hotel is reviewed: 5/4/3/2/1 stars and also leave a comment and an overall rating can be given?

I am looking for such as system, to be integrated to either IOSR (& hence destinations) or as a separate component/module - it could be as simple as that or more complex like IOSR  but it must be a review system and not much else.

Could the current hotel review system be modified to also act as a restaurant review system attached to IOSR destinations and sub-locations? If Datahell is busy and I presume he is (with e-Forum and other developments) and someone else is willing to build this module for me, please contact me - no I am not suggesting you copy IOSR hotel review system -unless you are Datahell!

No one interested in developing a review system? It doesn't have to be for restaurant, it's application could be anything: movies, products, car, books etc If this is developed as a separate module for Elxis it could have many purposes.

My personal opinion is, one of the draw-backs of Elxis say compared to Joomla is that there is a lack of variety when it comes to choice of components, modules, templates (quality templates!)... I understand that Elxis is pretty new but there is a lack of developers/development, besides the Elxis Team, which I'm sure is working flat out, brining stuff out but this is one of the main draw-backs of developers/customers adopting Elxis.

I have no doubt that Elxis is a better than Joomla but Elxis adoption has been quiet slow...just my two cent

these are no more than iosres review system

as for the destinations, think of sections as destinations etc..

section-destination- eg. athens => cat_resturants, cat_bars etc...
section-destination- eg. books => cat_history, cat_novel etc...

write your articles-reviews and let visitors to comment - vote.


maybe someone needs  a most_rated module.... but not a complete review system from scratch.. at least not for what you asking here.
