Error trying to view available extensions.

Getting the following error when trying to view available extensions to download from the administrator pages:

What's causing it? Need to install some image gallery extensions...

permissions needed to be for entire directory including files and subfolders

I cannot install any component either

I pick the file to download and install and I get this error:

/var/www/vhosts/mysite.gr/httpdocs/elxis_site/tmpr/166-1257519223/

enable elxis-ftp access..

ftp-access will help to avoid such errors.. permission errors..

i enabled ftp through the administrator pages, and no luck


I cannot install a bot or component no matter what I try

are you sure(checked) that ftp access working?

if you can to give me access i can check for you...

also check from ftp that are not any broken(uncompleted installation)  components .. the need to manually deleted!
otherwise you get an error like "are you trying to install same component twice.. etc.."

well it says that FTP is working.

this is the error I get when trying to download/install IO_image gallery component

1- check if  this file exists
2- check the owner of the file and tmpr owner
3- check permissions
4- check server's logs
 
and tell me the results

Ps. have you tried to install it through edc?

Other way to install is by unzipping > uploading  to your elxis root and use the second option "install from dir" .. this will bypass the tmpr folder which used only for unzip the compoment

EDC does not work either
