Yes and no... but it's a long story. If you site has lots of big images, css, too much http requests, etc search engines won't like it. Maybe you should check

Many thanks for that...hopefully my site will be up and running one day, which is why I want to gain as much
practical
knowledge as possible regrading SEO, so any information, dummies guide or anything else would be very helpful. I know Elxis is SEO friendly but SEO can't just be about the meta tags and titles///
