Forthnet servers

Hello all,

I have found a new client that is currently hosted at Forthnet.  As I see it, they can use Forthnet but the problem that I see is that they have been using the asp or Windows servers.

Should I offer to create their site temporarily on my server so that they will be able to see it and then have them switch the Forthnet hosting to the linux server?

Does anyone have any experiences regarding this?

if i understand.........and if they have allready a domain name connected with the forthnet host

go to your server create one account like the way you create (their domain...klp), after that you have to work in ftp your server ip (in the place who normaly write the ftp.domain.com ) upload all the elxis files in your server with your ftp, and in browser with http://your server ip/~username(the username of domain), you can see the installation of elxis, but you have to change the paths (if you have normaly http:www.something.com....now you have http://your server ip/~username(the username of domain)...in that case the bot map dont work (maybe and some else)

If the server doesn't have php installed, ask them what they want to install it.
Probably they will change the hosting plan with different charge for your customer.

Thanks for the information.

About the password, I just found out the hard way.  I tried to do an ftp to see what the client has there and not only did I find an access database (mdb) but then I was informed that their web site stopped.

Yes, I think that the client will definitely have to leave forthnet.

Wow, what a fantastic server setup they must have at forthnet!!!
