My knowledge of ajax-javascript is extremely limited. I will have to take a look at the entire code.
I know that the permissions are set correctly cause during the full elxis install all perms when green with no red errors.
The sad thing is I even tried testing all this on a test Wamp Server and on 3 different servers with the same issue. and with a fresh install on each and fressh dbase install
I would have been nice to use this feature but I will instead remove it and find another way to do a newsletter subscription.
thanks for your help though. I really appreciate the hard work in trying.
thanks

give some apache error logs here ...
it is sure that there is hidden the solution to your problem.
you told that mambots give errors ...well this is very bad you know!
mambots are the soul of elxis (in a way).
if not find there your problem is sure that you will fix other that will appear in the future.
none told you to start codeing... no need for the correct elxis-operation.
permissions .... never say that is all ok ....

this errors appear hundreds of times.
File does not exist
:..../mediacenter/mambots/editors/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/
xhtmlextras
, referer:
http://enchanted-evolution.ca/mediacenter/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogsection&id=8&Itemid=40
Premature end of script headers
: php-script, referer: ....... /mediacenter/administrator/index2.php
the first ... this file must be xhtmlxtras not xhtmlextras... how this happened?
all urls searching for xhtmlextras but that file is by default named xhtmlxtras..
any way but this can't effect newsletters.
the second error can't say why is caused...
needs more investigation ... be sure that this causes a lot of problems.. even if not visible ... yet!
it is sure that is not an elxis problem... your server needs a close look up in order to fix this errors..

Ok I will take a look at the server and see what is going on. It should take me about a day.
Either way, it's an issue and in a general sense could happen to someone else. But bugs happen and thats how things get fixed. I still love the elxis system and it's great.
How do I fix the xhtmlxtras thing?

i would say that is better to apply that patch to update your Elxis 2008.1 Stable rev2218 to newer
2245 version. first ...
then we will see....

I think I've patched everything already. I downloaded the latest patch 2 weeks ago so if it's changed since then I will have too

well this maybe an explanation...
you have not or you have done this latest patch half the way ...
your system is Elxis 2008.1 Stable rev2218 no patch applied...
if you tried to apply the patch to 2245 then you didn't do it correctly.
