Problem with autonomus page [SOLVED]
«

I created a static page and i setted it as home page. When i publish the frontpage module in this page, though, in the header position, the static content disappears. Is it a general problem or only on my site? Could it be a problem of the template? ( i took the template fromt the download center of elxis. i just changed a bit few icons and menu bar).

Give us the link, we cannot tell what went wrong, without seeing the problem like this... Also, you didn't say wich template are you using? Is this problem appearing only with one template or all?

i haven't tried other templates. the template is the Template Rubric 1.0 and the link is
www.pctime.gr
at the moment the frontend module is not published as it creates this problem.

So, it does... Here's one more thing I want you to check for me:
When this "disappearing" thing happens, go to see your page souce (right click in browser) and tell me do you see the content of your static page in HTML code?
I am almost certain you will see it in HTML, wich means that your problem could be solved trough css easily.

That's what I thought! This is simply CSS matter... but I can't help you without seeing HTML and CSS.
Here's a hint: use FF plugin called Web Developer Toolbar

i can't imagine the problem is the template's, as the template is by datahell. He couldn't make a mistake in the template i think. The template's css and html is the one that has the template "Template Rubric 1.0" of the front-end templates at the elxis-downloads.com

Who said there is a mistake? Try to open the same page in IE6, and tell me if you can see the content? Aftewards, use Safari, FF, Opera, NN... If there is a mistake, it's not one-man mistake. In addition, every page consists of many modules, components and each one contains some HTML code, so they must work together. Whatsmore, there could be javascripts wich may cause conflict... I just want to say that YOU have to get involved, not just wait for someone to make everyhing work flawless. There are some new CSS classes in Elxis 2008, and I suggest you to study them, especially the GREAT helper: standard.css. Experiment, study, have fun! Because it really is fun.
PS
As I said.. open your page in IE6... you will be surprised!
