you can create your website on localhost and then after design and modifications , move it to the online host

please read FAQs or search about your question before asking it , thank you for your attention

the question is more basic than that. i have just installed elxis and i have the default elxis site on localhost. all i want to do is create another test or build site on localhost with its own name ( ie localhost/mynewsite) alongside the elexis default(localhost/elxis2). i would expect that an administrator should beable to administer multiple sites.
there is no clear instruction as to how to do this anywhere as far as i can see.

it's very simple , just copy elxis files on another subfolder and create another database and install elxis alongsite your default installation,,,
if you want to have another site like existing one , just get a sql export from your existing default elxis installation database and then create a new database and import that .sql file ... so you need to get a copy of existing elxis files in new folder and do a modification in configuration.php file and set new database name and user , pass ...
