Powerboard error

I have just installed a new elxis 2006.4 system and then i have installed powerboard Installed version: 1.0.
I have still not created any forum or category nor i have configured powerboard.
I only add a link to mainmenu for powerboard by going to link component. and when i click on that link i get error saying

But when i refresh the page the error does not come. and then the error never comes. And when i delete the cache and cookies files and then once again visit the powerboard page the above error comes.

Can anyone help me resolve this error?

Have you tried to install it on a hosting server? Not on your local machine. From what I remember, I did have such issues on local machine, but never on hosting server. I also remember that some issues were happening due to differencies between PHP 4 and 5 (no changes in code, just reordering). As you've noticed, this version of PB is BETA, and such issues will be considered in the next revision.

Thank you. IT was error related to php4 and php5. I was working on php5 and when i switched over to php4 the errors did not appear. According to you is it advisable to run elxis 2006.4 on php4 or php5. Is it possible to remove the error from php5 if it is not time consuming can you help me. If it will take more than 10 minutes of you then please forget the request. I will be happy to switch to php4.
