Did you know that
Elxis 5.x
uses HTML5, CSS3 and pure javascript without external libraries such as jQuery?

I'm researching the possibility to use Elxis with CD-based webserver for producing
CDs for Windows and Mac OS X - with this one:
http://www.stunnix.com/prod/aws/overviews.shtml
Has anybody tried doing this?
Will Elxis work with readonly database for website that can't be edited?

Works perfect on a usb stick. Also works perfect on CD but, as you probably know, you can not write on CD. So, Elxis wont be able to save any changes you make. If the apache server on the CD is tuned in a way to save changes on the user's temporary dir then you may be able to save changes. It is a matter of the web server setup not elxis.
