Title: CMS search engine timeout
Post by: seadhna on August 16, 2020, 15:41:58
Hi there, I have an ongoing issue with a pretty large website in that the CMS search box in the top right corner is extremely slow; I haven't been able to figure out exactly why, maybe because of the number of articles on the website (>1000). (The front-end search engine works fine and the "search options" filters work fine). I have noticed though that the CMS search box doesn't just search the article titles, but also subtitles (and maybe other elements also?). Is there a way to restrict the CMS search to only article titles? I am wondering if perhaps this will improve the speed. Thanks for any advice you can give!

As far as I understand the search from the search engine (page: search/) is fast but the search from the top search box is not. If this is the problem then I need to see your site because I don't know which search option you use as there are many templates that don't use the standard search module but have integrated search boxes. Show me the URL where the search is slow.

It would be great if we have an answer about that in public.
I think that it will be useful for anyone interested.
