Administration > Extensions > Components > Content > Tab "Parameters" >
disqus Comments does not come out under articles, but it does work fine under hotels
Here is what is done already and what does not work:
Comments source / DisQus shortname / Local site - DONE
Edit article > Parameters > Comments = Yes or Global setting (if its
category if Yes) - DONE
Edit category > Parameters > Comments = Yes (articles must has the
comments parameter to Yes or Global setting. - DONE

I dont see any problem. Disqus is working fine, I just checked it on my local Elxis 4.5 installation.
Have you set correctly the shortname for disqus?
Login in disqus and then go to this page: https://disqus.com/profile/signup/intent/
and click on "I want to install disqus on my website"
take the shortname it will give you and put in in Elxis component content > parameters.
Enable comments on an artile to test it.

it is the shortname I use for hotels. It works fine. Here is the screen short of Category, Content parameters, and Article comments settings, all done as it is supposed to be. It just does not come under articles. It does come under hotels. :((( THANKS A LOT FOR REACTING TO THE POST.

There is nothing wrong with disqus and elxis. It works fine. You can see a live example on elxis docs (https://www.elxis.net/docs/using-elxis/getting-started/all-about-articles.html)
If you have done everything correct then something else is happening in your site. For example it might be a css or javascript issue. OR there is something in your browser blocking disqus! Have you examined article's page html to see if elxis renders it with disqus or not? If you want send me a personal message and provide me access to your site's administration to see it.
