Title: Can't figure how to display articles properly in front page
Post by: MarD on July 27, 2016, 18:35:40
I've been trying to display articles in front page and I couldn't figure what property needs to be changed in order to be shown.
For example, I have a category called Our Place and under that category the articles are displayed in front page, but for all others categories are not. The other problem is that the first article (Home) of Our Place category it appears twice. How can that be changed?
My site is lagoonhome.gr

I know it's basics but I was trying really hard to find them out myself and failed.
Any help it would be very appreciated.

Thanks,
Marios

Hi MarD.
First of all, I like the site. You have nice eye-catching images in front-page and the style is clean and elegant. Surely it needs more content to be added although I believe you haven't finished it yet.

The default Elxis installation has a copy of the "Articles" module placed in frontpage (if I remember correctly it is in position frontpage2). Go to administration > Extensions > Modules, find the "Articles" module in the list and click edit. On the parameters tab you select which articles you want to display.

Hey!

I've been using Elxis so many years and yet I'm a noob in some aspects!  :P
Ofcourse there it was and finally I could choose the categories I wanted.
I'm really glad you liked it. Even more for the pictures because this is actually my job.  ;D

Thanks for the info!
Marios
